AI design references inside your assistant

Connect UI Discovery to the AI tools you already use. Search real websites, app screens, flows and sections before you design, then pass an original reference brief to your coding or design workflow.

One hosted MCP URL

Use the same remote endpoint in ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex or VS Code. The connection is read-only for the public reference library; account-scoped board tools require the permissions shown during sign-in.

What your agent can do

Search sectionsFind heroes, pricing tables, FAQs, testimonials, footers and other real website patterns.
Search screens and flowsCompare iOS, web-app and dashboard screens or inspect a recorded multi-step journey.
Inspect referencesReopen exact captures with previews, dimensions, headings, palette, fonts and source dates.
Compare and find similarPut selected references side by side or find visual alternatives based on layout, texture and color.
Prepare a design handoffGive your agent selected captures, brand details, copy, dimensions and required states as a structured research package.
Build with optional enrichmentPro tools add an original build brief, design tokens and an image plan; the assistant still creates the final artifact with its own tools.

A reference-first AI design workflow

The connector is most useful when it is part of a deliberate sequence, not a replacement for design judgment.

1. Ask for a product moment

Tell your assistant who the user is trying to help, what they need to do and which platform matters. The AI design brief generator uses the same idea for a quick starting point.

2. Inspect before selecting

Ask for a small shortlist and require visual previews. Compare the actual palette, typography, content density and section order instead of choosing from a title alone.

3. Create something original

Once the reference solves the design question, ask your assistant to preserve the useful structure while replacing copy, assets, brand details and licensed fonts. Verify the output in the tool that created it.

AI design MCP server — FAQ

What is an AI design MCP server?

It is a Model Context Protocol connection that lets an AI assistant search and inspect UI Discovery's real design references. Your assistant can find websites, app screens, flows, palettes and build prompts inside the same conversation or coding workflow.

How do I add the UI Discovery MCP server to Cursor?

Add the hosted URL https://uidiscovery.com/mcp as an HTTP MCP server in Cursor, complete account sign-in when prompted, and enable the connector for your chat. The API docs include the same URL and a Claude Code command.

Does the MCP server write code for me?

The server returns references, previews, metadata and optional build briefs. Your connected coding or design assistant uses its own tools to create the requested original artifact; UI Discovery does not copy a reference's source code or assets.

What can the design MCP server search?

It can search real website sections such as heroes, pricing tables, testimonials and FAQs, iOS and web-app screens, recorded flows, whole products, graphics references and extracted palettes or fonts. Pro tools add deeper build and image plans.
