Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("UIDiscovery", "we", "us"). They apply when you use the UIDiscovery website, public API or MCP server (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you agree for that organisation too.

UIDiscovery is a library of design references: screenshots and sections of public websites and apps, with extracted details such as palettes, fonts, structure and build prompts. It exists to help designers, developers and AI agents study real products before designing their own. How references are collected is explained on our Sources & rights page.

References are for study, inspiration, research and commentary. You may:

• browse, search and save references, and share links to them;
• use them to inform your own original designs, and give them to your AI tools as context;
• quote small excerpts in internal presentations, critiques and design reviews.

You may not:

• copy a referenced product's design, branding, logos, copy or imagery into your own work so it looks like, or could be confused with, that product;
• use references in a way that infringes the rights of the product's owner;
• republish, resell or redistribute the library, or large parts of it, as your own collection.

The products shown belong to their owners. Your use of their designs is your responsibility, and nothing on UIDiscovery grants you a licence to anyone else's intellectual property.

The UIDiscovery name, logo, site design, software, and the original material we create — such as extracted metadata, written descriptions, prompts, templates and flow kits — belong to us or our licensors. You may use the prompts and templates we publish in your own projects. You may not copy the Service itself or present it as yours.

The public API and MCP server let you and your tools query the library. Please use them reasonably: don't scrape the library in bulk, overload our servers, get around rate limits, or use the API to build a competing reference library. We may throttle, limit or block traffic that affects the Service for others.

Documentation lives on the API & MCP page. Endpoints, limits and response formats may change as the product develops.

• Don't try to break, probe or bypass the Service's security.
• Don't use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass or deceive others.
• Don't submit personal, confidential or unlawful content in search or brief fields.

UIDiscovery is free to use today. The paid plans on our pricing page aren't available for purchase yet. When they are, additional terms about billing, renewals and refunds will be added here before anyone is charged.

References link to the original websites and App Store listings. Those are run by others, under their own terms, and we're not responsible for them. Some features rely on third-party services, such as AI ranking of search results; see our privacy policy.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". References, extracted colours, fonts, labels and AI-generated rankings or prompts may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the extent the law allows, UIDiscovery won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

We may change the Service or these terms as the product develops. When we change the terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page; continuing to use the Service means you accept the new version. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms.
